Andrew Kistner – Portraits

Are you ready to be blown away by cuteness? I was when I started retouching these.  I’ve known Andrew for a few years now, and his photos turned out just as I thought they would.

Ornery, funny and cute.

Andrew loves tractors.  Can you tell by the smile?

SeeBee Photography

I love his fake grumpy face.

The farm that they live on is beautiful.  I could probably take pictures there all day long.

This was a great session and so much fun.  I love this little goofball.

Polaroid Collection 1

SeeBee Photography

This post is about some of my personal work.  It’s much different then the work that I do for my families.

When I am photographing a family, it’s true that I am documenting something special.  However I am meticulous in my ‘posing’, color correction, and finished product.

With my personal Polaroid work?  Not as much.

I am still documenting something incredibly special (to me), but the finished product…is almost always a mystery.

I don’t ever truly know what my vision is going to look like on film.  Maybe that’s one of the reasons I love doing this so much.

Sure I take into consideration the film temperature, before/during & after shooting.  I pay attention to development time and light.

But what I see in my head and what comes out are sometimes drastically different. Sometimes I had unevenly spread emulsion, or a weird orange cast to my photos.

But at the end of the day, it’s incredibly hard for me to part with these images.  I recently was fortunate enough to partake in the craft show Craftin’ Outlaws.

So, I had to frame my babies and sell them.

SeeBee Photography

Many people asked me at the show, did you actually take these?  Yes…yes I did.

I can tell you where it was taken, how cold/hot it was outside & where I was illegally parked to get the shot.

I think that is another reason I love these so much.  You can’t right click on my Polaroid and “get info.”

It’s not geotagged, and doesn’t contain any metadata.

SeeBee Photography

There’s no Instagram filter, no {command + Z} function if you screw up.

My camera collection has been steadily growing for the past few years.

I started off with my 600 film camera, and have added a Big Swinger, Sx-70, etc.

It really doesn’t get any better than this for me.  Each image is packed full of emotion for me. All I can hope is that it may resonate with others as well.

Rininger Family

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of seeing a family I hadn’t seen in ages.

(Seriously, that’s a real unit of time.)

The first time I photographed them it was just the two of them.  The second time, they had a little girl.  And now?  Expecting their third.

SeeBee Photography

We weren’t sure where to meet at, because we are 2 hours apart.  However we settled on Sippo Lake Park and it was perfect!

Their were leaves everywhere, and a perfect path.  It was a bit chilly…but they were troopers!

She was being very brave, showing her little sister that it was okay to get your picture taken.

Sophia wasn’t too keen on smiling, even when the family assistant put “bugs” on my head.

SeeBee Photography

Stay adorable Rininger family….shouldn’t be too hard, especially with a little boy almost here.

The Walter Family

This was an incredibly fun shoot.  I have known this little gal Tori since she was an infant, before she could walk.  So to see her now so big was crazy!

SeeBee Photography

This picture just makes me smile for so many reasons.  Not only does everything match perfectly, but it was fun trying to keep her from eating the props.

SeeBee PhotographyShe wasn’t as keen on eating the pumpkins though, luckily.

SeeBee PhotographyAlways have to get a few for the Christmas cards.

The little chair for this photo is just too cute, and of course, Tori.

It was a task keeping her in the chair long enough to get a shot, can you tell by that grin?

Craftin’ Outlaws – November 2014

This fall I was honored to be asked to be the in house photographer for the best show around: Craftin’ Outlaws.

A place where you can show your creative side, wares, sarcasm, and love for all things handmade.

Maternity Session – The Gilson’s

Another maternity session!  One thing I love about doing these sessions is that I now see these little nuggets (babies) afterwards and they are too cute for words.

SeeBee PhotographyFor this session we went to a park between both of our homes.  It was way off the beaten path and void of people.  Perfect!

SeeBee Photography

There was a small clearing and the weather was near perfect, it’s always just the wind we have problems with.

SeeBee PhotographyThis is such a classic and wonderful maternity shot.  All 3 family members in one.  Little guys first picture!

I love barn door backdrops, especially red.

Baby boys first pair of sandals.

Heather brought this pretty blue polka dot ribbon to the session, she was ready to pop!

Turns out it was good we did this session when we did, because baby William came early.

Maternity Session – Walker

So, let me start off by saying this was such a fun shoot.  Not only were there SO many places to photograph on this property, but it was a gorgeous day!

SeeBee Photography

Does it really get much cuter than that?  I don’t think so….

SeeBee Photography

Her son Jayden was a hoot.  He was making me laugh the whole time.

SeeBee Photography

I absolutely love this photograph of her silhouetted by the window!

Such an adorable little family.  I am always honored to capture such precious memories.
